What is this exactly. (The orange blinker thingy on the fender) I see it on all the JDM cars but I am not sure if it's a blinker that works or is it just a reflector??
Can these be added to a US car without hacking the fender to ****? :rice: |
you can buy those from any ricer shop. i know my ricer shop had them. personally i don't like them
|
I think it would look better without it
|
they would look good if they were recessed and didnt protrude out too far.
|
I would only like them if they were actual blinkers..
|
they are the same ones as the mazda tribute, exact same part #
mike |
They are blinkers.
I have them on my car, they come stock over here |

No not at all. They stick out maybe 3/4 inch. Since they are
blinkers you would have to cut a hole in your fender to put them on, or just buy JDM Fenders I have seen with and without, I think it looks good either way. No preference either way IMO |
so the fenders only have a hole in them?
they arent shaped around the blinkers and the blinkers sit recessed into the fender? |

Yeah they just have a hole.
You have seen the ones on the rear bumper on the left and right side right? Those are recessed a little, but the ones on the fron fender are straight up on a flat fender... Im almost positive... I can go out to my car this afternoon, after I get these boxes out of here and I will go check it out for you man.. |
I cut no holes in my fenders.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
I'lll leave those to you guys in Japan. |

Every damn civic, integra, fiesta, minitruck and John deere have them here...
I remember being one of the first people to put them on a car here... Well, other than a BMW that is... |
if you put the anneversary fender flares on your fd wouldnt that REQUIRE you to put the blinkers in then because they have a recessed area for them? if you didnt itd look like total ass.

Without a doubt, those are not original JDM fenders

It has been said that the fenders arent recessed for the light, the light
just sits on top. So if you do install the Mazdaspeed wide body kit (includes Front and rear wide body fender flares), yes the front side markers would be recest into the fender. If you do not install the light, there will be a hole there, that you could possibly fill in wiht FBG. As for the blue car. It looks as if the Mazdaspeed flares were used in some way and molded into the fender. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif Shawn |
Very simple: In the US we have the side markers/blinkers on the bumper. In Japan and europe they have them on the fenders. Take a look at your front bumper on the sides and you will notice the other set of blinkers. On the JDM bumpers they do not have them.

Then someone ELSE posted a pic of that other blue car, which OBVIOUSLY has the recessed lights. I think we are all confusing each other. |
yeah this is defintly confusing

[/quote] Actually Its my fault, I should of done an "edit" on my post after. I should have mentiond that I was quoting "papasmurf" first post. He was stating that you had to put blinkers in if you used the anniversary kit flares. After that, peeps were still telling him that they are not recessed in the fender, when in turn he was correct that they would be if you used the flares. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png Cheers Shawn |
i thought they were recessed, sorry everyone for the confusion. i wanted to get the fender flares ( unless i find better ) to fit larger wheels, the side marker doesnt look so great if its not recessed ( other have stated before )
