So I want to clear some polished stuff in the engine bay... What's a good clear coat for hi-temp applications? How's the stuff holding up that you guys clear coat?

you can get powder coating in clear, might look into having that done.

I bought *special* high heat clearcoat from eastwood. Designed exactly for clear coating metal engine parts.

The damn **** still tuned a bit yellow :( So good luck!

you know what you are doing, but excess clear coat will have a tendency to

yellow as well.

FD engine bay temps might be a bit extreme for any product.

The **** Eastwood makes is pretty good. I yellowed my LIM very little if any.

But I think that it would still look better left un-cleared

This is just aftre I clear coated this.

I don't own it any more though so I couldn't tell you how it has held up. http://www.fd3boost.com/album/userim...bc51c_high.jpg
