Since my car is broke for now I have time to fix other ****. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png I need to know the best place to ground, cause I have bad ignition noise where ever I try. I've also grinded down to bare metal before and it doesn't help much. And it's for my amp, not the head unit.

I grounded mine back near the spare tire. I found a spare hole, whiz wheeled the paint off and put a bolt through with two washers. Then I used a connector to slip over the bolt. It has been there for two years with no problems. Hope that helped.

I'll have to try that tm, get the openshoe grinder out https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/devil.gif . I tried the wingnut that holds the spare in, and many other places back there but I'm always gettin ignition noise. :dontgetit: Mabey it's something else....

Your main power line isn't close to the speaker wires, is it? You should always run them on opposite sides of the car.

Like 13b ace said, run it seperate from your speaker wires, make sure it is a good gauge wire for your amp running right from the battery, fused, or circuit breaker protected as close to the battery as you can, run a good quality, heavy gauge wire for a ground, drill or find yourself a hole, scrape the paint away from it ( although I never have had to scrape the paint away myself on any car I ever put a amp in ), install a eye on the end of the wire, and nut and bolt it to your hole, a locking washer would be a good choice as well, and use a decent size bolt, not a tiny screw. I would also make sure your radio is properly installed and grounded as well, and making sure your turn on lead for the amp is also not near your 12 volt lead for the amp.

My speaker wires run from my head unit under my seat to the amp. The power goes under the scuff plate under the door (drivers side). I only here the exsaust through the subs, not my poopy mids. :notify:
