Well, there's a GB for this kit on the other forum, and I'm wondering what you all think of these lights? I'm considering snagging a set..
|
You need a headlight cover anyway right? Why not just go ahead and do the conversion if you like it?
|
i think it looks better than most. snag away..
I've long considered the sleek look, but I like the fact that everything on my car can be reverted to stock. Sleek lights involve cutting the rails and I'm not sure I'm on board with that yet.. I do need a headlight cover (to be painted), so in essence, going to sleek lights would just at several hundred dollars to an otherwise relatively inexpensive fix. I dunno even why I'm thinking these.. it's not like I have money to spend.. I love credit, though. |
I like flippies anyway, so it's not an issue for mine.
Yeah, I like "flippies" too. Thanks for making it clear to me! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png |
The stock lights aren't bright enough-
Fit different bulbs? Mark |
Fit different bulbs?
Mark
Yeah, that's all I did and now they're just fine. The original ones were pretty weak though. |
before halogens people drove around with sealed beams and could see fine
get a set of driving lights if you need more lighting I say leave the stock lights, unless your going to go "all out" on the car then the light conversion completes things. |
keep the stockers, get some HID's.
|
Ok, lol. Not reallt a matter of lighting, more a matter of combining projects - my headlight covers need to be repainted anyway, so I was thinking of just getting non-flippers
|
The stock headlights look terrible when they're up.
Those ones aren't too bad, they kind of stick up above the profile of the fender - hood - bumper so I'd have to see them in person before I decided I liked them. |
Haha, actually came with the car because the previous owner didn't bother installing them. |
They shouldn't be hard to find, Just look out for xenon or halogen - no need for new lenses at all, they have next to no impact on the brightness. Mark |
Now that you explain it more, it would be a cool thing to do. I never liked them on FD's honestly. They look good on FC and FB's. Of course we know why that is, because FC's and FB's are ugly.

Mark
Thanks Dude. |
i dont like the kits that arent flush with the body, it fucks up the lines.
like sure they might look nice in a front shot, but from the cockpit or a side angle the car looks like it has pimples. kevin. |
I like the lights that only pop up half way. Lazy eyes I quess...
That's one of the last things on my list. |
Steve, if you dont do it you're FD, I will :-D
|
They are from EVO-R Inc. They are doing a GB on the other RX-7 forum. |
now THOSE are nice
kevin. |
I'm liking the second ones better. If I had the cash that would be my choice. No cutting required either apparently.
|
Yep those are really nice. But damn, what an ugly ass front end that FD has. Looks Supra-ish?
|
abflug?
|
Is it? I dont follow FD body kits very closely.
|
Does anyone know what kind of lights those are in the first picture.
Thanks, Chuck |
I'm pretty darn sure those are East Bear lights.

I dont know i checked out a few pics of the east bear lights they look different. The ones in the first picture look like they have projectors which the east bear kit does not have. |
