It is body work time....paint to follow.....
I was looking around for some cool looking side mirrors for the RX-Midget and found these. I was thinking about the VF-2 model with the LED side marker lights. What do you think? Here is the main web page: http://www.visionhotrod.com/mirrors.htm http://www.visionhotrod.com/images/led-mirrorL.jpg |
I've always thought that mirrors with the side LED's was pretty cool. They'd look good on an MG IMO.

either that or get some period mirrors, i dunno what kind of look you are going for though

I'm going with somthing of a Street Rod look.
I've shaved the door handles, the trunk handle is next. Back up light have been deleted and the roll pan smoothed. No bumpers and the mounts were removed and smoothed. Projector beem driving lights will be mounted in the air dam. Front turn signals have been smoothed over for possible in-headlight turn signals or flush mount LED signals (need to decide...). Possible side marker lights (ala VW/Audi) but only if the mirrors don't have lights. I think I'm going to get rid of all the chrome and only have polished aluminum in certian areas (windshield frame is aluminum). I hope to have a C/F dash when I get done and maybe a few other odds and ends. No rice, just something nice. Oh, and no more stickers https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png The car is just too carzy to try to make it "period" correct. Besides I want to see all the old MG purists have a heart attack when I drive by :smirk: |
ah ok, so then those mirrors will fit right in.

Looks like a good choice to me Brian.
Ye old midget will thank you. :bigok: |
