I hear fog lights are used in custom headlight kits?Does anyone know for sure which lights they use in those quad light kits?I might be trying to build a set for my next project car.
Thanks ~Luis |
for the c west headlights, they used CATZ lights
|
rotary exteme uses HELLA
|
Are they just fogs?Or are they actual driving lights?

not fogs though, actual head lights are more focused in the distance due to the type of lens. fogs carry over a short distance and all around. if you look around you can find some actual nice headlights to build your own kit.

hella housings can be converted to HID...... so something to ponder about

think of the type of driving you do BEFORE you go and look for the lights...
high speed night driving would benefit from projector hid beams. show car or not very much highway driving at night could be easily done with fog's ( 99spec fogs with new housings??) piaa makes lights around 3-4" and some are considered "driving lights" which are somewhat focused compared to regular fogs and would be a great headlight. not for high speed though. |
you will need to make a housing, but the cwest lights are CATZ, and the types are : XLC and MSC...

I think they use these, supposed to be better beam for driving
