I have been tought quite some time ago how to polish metals. While I have my intake manifold off i thought i'd give it a shot. So far I have the easy to reach surfaces covered with grinding the area smooth, but what do i use for the hard to reach areas?

Conical sanding wraps on a mandrel with a rotary die grinder. You can get all that stuff at the hardware store.

I'll try that, i resorted to my dremel but not happy with the results. This is a sample of my labors, i think it will look nice after all the rough work is done.

Just a bit of advice - when you finally have it smooth and are at the polishing stage, use flour to get rid of all the black - it really brightens up the ali https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif
