I have a Bride Brix seat. Fits me just fine, but doesn't fit the 7 all that great. Now that I got rid of my back seats and have bins, there's no need for adjustable seats up front, so I want to get buckets.

And....I'm running out of **** to buy for my FD.

So......which ones fit? What type of Recaro's come in the '99 spec?

rfreeman27 11-09-2003 10:29 AM

I know you already had Blitz but...

I made mine fit awesome. No rubbing anywhere, ill get a pic of the way i did it soon, nothing fancy.

I cut a recess into the rear pannel where the adjustment knob goes. Then the seat can slide back as far as you want it too.

Those RZ thats are ******* sweet, but they are like $2-3000 U.S.

You can get them way cheaper i'm sure. I also like the Mazdaspeed seats.

how much was your Bride seat there like $800 dollars here!!

i am a big fan of bride seats i plan to get brides and takata racing harnesses do you know if i can mount those?

apexkw 11-25-2003 11:02 PM

cant you just get the black rz seats. i am sure those would be much cheaper than my red rz seats since they made so many more seats in black

If i could find a pair of black ones i would be all over them like a fly on ****!!!

hey man those arent the RZ seats. my Red RZ seats have an exposed carbon keavlar back. i believe the black ones do also. another thing to notice is that the recaro stiching is below the holes for the racing belts.

works2r 11-26-2003 10:14 AM

those seats youre showing are the SRDs.

I believe the ones in the RZ are SP-Gs

If you read my post carefully....you will see i never said that those were the seats from the RZ. I said if i could find a pair of black RZ seats i would be interested. Those are just a pic of the recaro speeds that I like because of the red stiching.

lol acutally after i posted i saw that. but i couldnt edit it...

I just took delivery of a pair of Bride seat rails: http://www.bride-jp.com/products_rail.html It's s'posed to work with my Sparco Pro2000. Will try them out and post pix/results.

jspecracer7 11-26-2003 01:05 PM

Well to dispell the rumor now...the '99 spec carbon kevlar recaro's are damn near impossible to find. If you DO find them, expect to pay upwards of $1000+. I got my bride brix seat for $250.00....but it was a homie hook-up.

I'm thinking about getting the bride exxxas III's.

Srce 11-26-2003 01:55 PM

I like the Sparco Roadsters, they're closest to the RZ seats.

JT-Imports 11-26-2003 06:01 PM

SPARCOs...

AgentSpeed 11-26-2003 06:09 PM

What about Corbeau's? Anybody had them? I was thinking about going with the Corbeau A4's myself but I haven't heard anything about them.

JaySpec7 11-27-2003 02:55 PM

I have Sparco Torinos but are swapping them out for buckets...

My wife is buying me a Bride seat/rails and Takata belts for Christmas!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

The Bride seats that fit is Exas II,III and Artis II, III Navi... they have to types of rails for the passenger and driver...

http://www.tees-usa.com/seatrail_ma.html

The rails are also designed to fit some other seats... you should give em a call to see if they fit...

Jay,

I'm leaning towards the bride Exas III, but I'm not sure the differences in the II or the artis seats. Have you seen them in person? I don't want anything with a long shoulder support since my car will be drag only.

Srce 11-28-2003 12:11 PM

Sport Compact Car just released a 73 seat guide in their Dec. issue and they cover pretty much everything available. They cover every manufacturer and every kind of seat from Touring to full on race. If you guys want I can take pix of the pages and post them up, it would be a good idea to compare sizes and comfort/support levels of some of the similer seats.

Srce 11-28-2003 12:12 PM

Okay, just checked the mag out again, and no Bride. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

But MOMO, has some nice seats.

HedgeHog 12-15-2003 01:53 AM

so i finally got off my azz and tried installing the Sparcos using the Bride brackets this weekend. welp, the brackets fit really nice in the FD...sliders and all. but unless Bride buckets are significantly different than Sparco buckets, there's not way anyone can use these. the seat is so high that my wife commented it looks like a child's booster seat in there. i have to tilt my head to avoid going through the sunroof...nevermind helmet clearance.

o well....back to the drawing board. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/angry.png
