Ok I have a question for you guys.
Does the 99spec steering wheel bolt right on? If so which im sure it does, but does the airbag plug right in? Or does it have a different plug? Thanks |

it bolts on fine but the airbag connector is different. i have yet to hook mine up for fear of breaking my new airbag. laujesse told me that it doesnt matter which way the wires connect...but i am a sissy and havent tried it yet....on my 93 the stock wires are red..brown....on my rz wheel both wires are red and the connector looks totally different. also i have been hella busy at work and havent even had time to hook up the last two wires for my boost controller. what can i saw i am lazy

no problem....let me know how it goes. that way if the airbag pops cause jesse was wrong then i wont feel bad you can beat him done cause you live so close to him...lol

The wheel is a direct bolt-on & you can splice the airbag & horn connectors off a 93-95 blown bag. I did this so I could sell my stock wheel & bag intact.
The wires are not polarities. (+ -). I watched a guy discharging bags at a junkyard with a car battery (they can't resell them). It just takes 12vdc to fire them. Just handle one wire at a time, to limit static discharge accidents. I solder spliced & shrink wraped my wires. |
