should i get the front lip painted the same color as the car, or leave it black?

i would leave it black, otherwise its gonna get curb rash

true, i did that with my r1 front lip....... painted it montego blue, and i could see the primer

yeah......... this is for the 99 spec front lip, i used to have an r1 front lip on the car and it was painted montego blue..........



now im debating whether to paint the 99 spec lip ibm or leaving it black

So, it comes as black? I thought the new '99 lips came white or un-painted.. unless you're talking about a used one..

just assuming that they came in black because all the stock ones are in black

I think painting them looks cheesy. Like you had a cheap respray of the whole car, so cheap they didn't mask anything.



Concur on the curb rash. It sucks.

They come as black plastic... Looks good unpainted IMHO
