I find american drivers more Courteous, don't butt in traffic by driving along the merging lanes or drive on shoulders. Leave space between cars and not cut people off. I was just in baltimore and it was such an easy drive. Stress free. Roads were smooth.

Unlike here in Toronto. ******* ******* drivers everywhere, But then again i can't say much since i'm not a cure to teh problem.

I think it has to do with Canada having tighter gun control laws than in USA.

Of course, you were in BALTIMORE. Probably the most courteous city in the country.

You guys wanna know the funniest thing?? That's in Denver. That clip originally aired on our local news, Anyway.. Turns out that there was ONE driver (out of 23 that had an accident there) that knew what he was doing. He steered away from the curb and nailed the gas, pulled out in the nick of time. The news station interviewed a driving instructor who said that bailing out of your car is pretty much the dumbest thing you can do.

Colorado law does not require professional driving instruction to recieve a license. Enough seat time (or forgery) documented on a piece of paper that looks like a permission slip is enough to get to the driving test. On the written you need only score 70% to get your license. And they tell you the answers at the end of the test, so if you get it wrong you'll pass for sure the next time.

Seriously? You make that sound like it's too easy. Here you just have to be able to back up in a straight line, park between 4 cones (not parallel parking), stop on a hill and know which way to turn your wheels when parking. I think that's all. Sad part is I know someone who went to a different county because they failed too many times in this county, and the other one was easier. They don't even make you drive on an open road, this is all in a parking lot. No written portion. If it snowed here, and people had to drive, there would be like 2,000 fatalities.

LMFAO

Let them get out and get crushed, solve the whole gene pool problem to begin with? LOL

I like how the last guy's passenger was trying to save his car!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

I don't think he'll have to chip in for gas money for a while.

Wow I knew the States was easy to get a license but that's taking the piss - This guy I know that's now over there took his test in 1 1/2 mins, managed to get something wrong and still passed. Over here a test takes around a 1/2 hour and is pretty strict. I failed my first test because once when he said to go left, I went right - that's it. And I'm stuck in a 1.4 four-banger while my friend (he's the same age as me BTW) is currently driving a small block and paying 1/4 the insurance and tax https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif.

Wow that turned into quite a rant https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Try the Missouri or the Illinois test. The Illinois test requires you to have 25 hours of drive time. Pass about a 10 minute signs test with room for 2 wrong answers out of like 30 questions. Plus they require you to take a written test with like 60 questions. On top of that you still have to pass the driving test where they make you do manuevers that would never actually happen in a real driving situation. Then once you get it you get stuck with outragously high bills for plates and tags. Damn, why did I even put Missouri on here? Their test is actually easy compared to the Illinois test. Maybe thats why everyone in Missouri except for St.Louisians drive slower than piss, and when you cross on to the Illinois side of the river everyone is back to racing again.

Here you drive in a parking lot course and take a test, my friend just took his and passed finaly and since hes been driving has almost been in a wreck 3 times, 2 times i was with him. The one time it was raining and he lost control of his truck and started sliding and almost slid into another truck. Another time his girl was with him and trying to be helpfull told him that he could make a right turn on red and not have to wait for the light to turn green so for some reason he just went anyway without stopping and a car was coming..
