Have any of you ever heard of or seen the Hello Kitty vibrator?? I had thought it urban legend until I saw it for sale on a website. It's a japan-only item, so it has to be shipped from there.





The shame is I am willing to pay over 20 bucks for the item itself, then another 20 or so to have it shipped.

Forgetful Gearhead

I've just put a new engine in my VW camper, by myself, out in the street in Cambridge, MA, in February.



(That sounds like bragging, but perhaps the LowBrow moment here is really that I was making $60K/year at the time, but was still too Scottish to pay someone to do it for me.)



It starts up first try, yeah! I check it out for a while. The expensive new fuel-injection is working perfectly.



I take it for a test drive. Yum -- twice the power of the old one. Now my camper can do 0..60mph in about 30 seconds :-)



Three miles into the trip, the engine sputters and dies. ****. Three days on my back in the snow, and $1500, maybe down the drain.



Then I notice the gas gauge. Oops. I walk down Rt. 2 to the nearest exit, and hit up the first house I see. I ask to use the phone to call one of my roommates. The guy looks conflicted, then sheepishly leads me into the living room and points out the only phone in the house -- a 2' tall Mickey Mouse with the ring dialer mounted on his stomach.
