So anyhow, I signed up about 5 months ago for sprints "unlimited" broadband internet EVDO wireless dealio, $60 a month, etc, etc.. At the time it was in fact unlimited, however on this months bill the fine print says they are changing the service (still called unlimited), but it will now have a 5gb transfer limit per month. Which pisses me off as I would have went with att's service, kept it all on one wireless bill AND used all of their wifi hotspots for free for the same price and a 5gb limit. Pretty much sprint has nothing going for them, no tech support absolute **** customer service.



Anyhow, I dunno what I am going to do, i have 60 days to back out of my 2 year contract and I am pretty tempted to do so just on the principal of the matter.

ATT sucks too. They all suck really, its just a matter of how bad. Sprint/nextel are near the bottom of the pile of suck, but my service has steadily been going downhill since ATT took over cingular.

I got a new 3g phone from att and i have been very happy with it. One thing about att if you bitch they will give you what you want. 2 examples, last year we went to the bahamas came back to an $800 phone bill, turns out it double charged us everytime a call went to voicemail, they cut the bill in half. More recently when i got the new phone, the **********ers charged us a nice little hidden $25 fee per new phone, which was total bullshit as we paid cash for the phones and should have seen nothing on our bill, they took it off, but said they won't next time.



I called sprint when i first got wireless card, after a 23 minute hold they told me they couldn't make changes to my billing, i needed to cancel my service and sign up under the new plan LOL dipshits.



I'm pretty sure i am going to cancel it just on principle. I am a little worried that the new iphone will realy tax att's service, but i'll be within the 30 days when that happens.

**** sprint, i'm outy, just cancelled with the fuckers, will switch to att next month. at least with them i get free access to their wifi spots also att doesnt charge you if you go over, they just send you a nasty note. I calculated the overages with sprint and it's like 10 grand for another 5gb LOL

yeah sprint sucks. only problem with at&t is that my brother and i get no reception anywhere, except this hawian resturaunt in sf.

i had that same problem, was ready to kick att to the curb, but with these new 3g phones i have awesome service. you gotta get a new sim card and a 3g phone, but it might be worth looking into.

The kids and I tied some string to the bottom of two plastic cups the other day. If you pull the string pretty tight, it works quite well.



Something to think about....

how much data did you transfer? what were your download speeds, i need some specifics before i spend the time and money hooking it up to my laptop

Sprint is the AntiChrist, I ditched them years ago and went to Nextel because in the work I was in I needed the 2 way radio. What happens to me a year and half later? Sprint merges with Nextel and I get to deal with the worst people on the face of the Earth again. Like a creepy stalker GF that just wont get the hint.

sprint nextel does ******* suck I've been a customer for at least 5-6 years and never have received **** from them like phones or other kind of specials not to mention there customer service fuvking sucks and they get you with having to renew ur contract for 3 yr to just change some thing on the acount **** them I switched to AT&T and have no problem now and the iPhone is so much better then there bleeps and ****

you dont have a real att iphone service tho, so that doesnt count.



ive had no problem with my cingular/att lose service momentarily, mainly in the boondockey regions. will be upgrading to the iphone 3g in july so we will see how much better the 3g is.

yeah I was looking at the new iphone too. And just because my phone is hacked doesnt mean my service is any different then yours

my internet is free....you pay by the meg, aka i can enjoy mine a hell of a lot more.

That's the reason I don't buy an iphone i dont want to spend the extra 30 a month to browse the internets on my phone. It would be nice to have it as an mp3 player, but i dont need to browse on the fucker. Actually I barely like having a cell phone, god damn things always ringing when i'm doing something, i gotta listen to everyone elses when i eat out, **** cell phones.

I think the Iphone is great and if you dont have a hacked phone you can get free internet, just like kev. Internet doesnt even matter to me I just use the wifi so its free.

And kev you've been offly smug lately for one who doesnt know how to answer his phone, since were on the subject. There are numberous reasons for me owning my phone. the major one is moe can hack it and I have no monthly payments, contract or obligations, its all free. Why should I complain what so ever?

Whst do you mea data plan? It Is free as long as I never use the Internet w/o wifi. Minutes and every thing it is free I pay for nothing my friend hacks minutes with is used when I'm not on wifi which is still free for me

yea i think the data plan is going to $50 a month for the new 3g iphones or some **** like that.



meh being able to use the intrawebs while in the boondockies is awesome. my total bill every month is $59.99 + taxes and fees.



the ability to use google maps while lost in some uncharted part of eastern bumblefuck is worth $60 a month to me. the fact that it makes calls too is a bonus. plus with all my constant dealings with businesses and vendors and sponsors and **** the email is great.

$40 I believe, quite honestly if I can get a 3g iphone for a reasonable price on ebay I may buy one, I just dont want to spend $500 a year so I can browse the internet on a 2x5 screen when I have a laptopconnect card that I can browse anywhere and actually get some **** done

meh, just get a new 2 yr contract with at&t and you get a new 3g iphone for $299, or $199 i believe, just gotta wait till july 11th.

well i went with alltel, their service and customer service is top rated, i'm a little nervous about their TOS, but I emailed them and told them I use at least 8 gigs a month and would that be an issue, they said no.



Of course they have been bought by Verizon, so I figure by the end of the year their unlimited will be capped like verizon, att and sprint.



I figure sprints gonna go broke.
