Well, would you be mad in a situation like this??? One of you GOOD friends gets engaged on Valentines Day.... NO big deal there. You hang out with him on Sun (went and saw Daredevil), and then with him and his now fiance that night, and they dont say anything.

I JUST FOUND OUT TONIGHT!!!! He didnt tell me, none of my friends told me... I found out over the ******* internet!!!! I was browsing a board that he posts on and I no longer do because of him partially (most of the people didnt know him and were talkin **** bout him and it pissed him off, so I put my word in and quit posting there) and see the topic bout him gettin engaged.

So here one of my GOOD friends gets engaged, doesnt tell me even though I talk to him like EVERYDAY..... Yet half the people in Indiana know because they read a ******* message board on the internet..

Would you be mad??? If you couldnt tell, I am

i wouldn't be mad....

bigtime 02-18-2003 10:32 PM

i wouldnt care.

ALNY93R1 02-18-2003 10:36 PM

I think it depends how close you guys are, I talk to some of my friends everyday and I wouldn't really be mad, but I have a couple of friends that I know for about 20 yrs and If it were any of them I would be bothered. Maybe he's embarassed to tell you.

ROTARYROCKET7 02-18-2003 10:38 PM

See, thats the thing.... i thought he was one of those really close/good friends, but i guess not.... I could understand if he maybe wanted to keep it on the DL or something, but he posted it all over the internet... And how could you NOT remember some decision like that, it is a life-changing decision... There is no way that he would be embarrassed bout something like that.

my_jdm_rx7 02-18-2003 10:55 PM

Not so much mad, as disappointed. I would hope that my CLOSE/BEST friend would tell me that kinda thing...actually, I'm pretty sure that if any of my close friends were getting hitched, I would know before she would...we are tight like that.

christi 02-18-2003 10:57 PM

Uhh. Why do you care so damn much that he got engaged? Are you jealous?

Ben93rx7 02-18-2003 11:00 PM

yeah, i m jealous *rolls eyes*.... I am only 20, if I was hitched, I wouldnt know what to do with myself.... LOL

I dont even have a g/f and like it that way, dating is the way to go FOR NOW, all the benefits, none of the attachments

my_jdm_rx7 02-18-2003 11:07 PM

It's alright man, I know where you are coming from. It's not a matter of jealousy, its a

more of a, "wow, this is a big important part of your life, and I don't feel like I was included"

Which between two GOOD friends could hurt, then again, you might be the kinda person

that could care less about knowing...just depends on how you rank your friends...do you

put your friends before other things, or after? My friends are a big part of my life, but I'm a

social person...if you aren't then maybe friends don't mean the same to you as they do to

people like us.

Ben93rx7 02-18-2003 11:19 PM

Well I think you can see from my post where i rank my friends https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

I guess mad really isnt the word i should use..... cause now that I really think bout how most people are probably takin that word it might be a little more harsh than i really mean...

I think disappointed, shocked, frustrated might be better words to describe it....

Dont get me wrong, I am happy for him and they make a GREAT couple, I was just wondering why i wasnt told.... guess I will find out tomorrow

christi 02-18-2003 11:20 PM

Sorry if that came out the wrong way.. butI wouldn't be mad. Maybe he didn't want you to know yet, and wanted to tell you at a certain time.... and wasn't ready to tell you....

racerxtreme7 02-18-2003 11:56 PM

maybe that bitch is really buck a$$ nasty and he doesnt want anybody he has to be around to know??? i wouldnt care but it is kinda messed up id be like good job punch him in the face and tell him straght up a pimp aint a pimp without no hoes a hustler aint a hustler with out no dough a thug aint a thug if his gun dont smoke and a player aint a player if his a$$ cant roll,,,na mean? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif

treceb 02-19-2003 10:16 AM

ask him when do you get to prove that u are indeed the best man. lol

just ask him, maybe it did slip his mind. i mean there are a whole lotta things going through his head now.

Baldy 02-19-2003 10:33 AM

don't worry too much about it, it sounds like a usual ann landers column https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

even though a person chooses to get married, it's a life changing event, and maybe he just wanted it to be a couple friends hanging out...after you get married, you can still do everything you used to, but it's like people view you differently, especially at a young age

I'm 20, and I'm married.

20 and married... hmmmm I am 20 and COULDNT be married, must say if it is working out for you I am happy for you, but I have known too many people that rushed into things and it didnt last (ie, my friend Candice was married AND divorced by the age of 19).
