Well I was thinking, Do you guys think dropping a 2jz-gte motor into an FD is worth it. Wouldn't the car be a bit more reliable then having but, I'm just looking 4 some of the forum members opinions. Since I might be doing this conversion. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

nope
|
for one thing you loose the FD's 50/50 weight ratio
|
Nope.
You're looking at spending a shitload of cash to match reliability of a 13B REW. Otherwise you are cutting corners to save cash, and in the end it's gonna fall apart. |
The conversion will never make fiscal sense. The slight increase in reliability will never add up enough to offset the cost of the conversion. Just buy a supra.

Well put. |
It was done ONCE, and only done once because nobody else is dumb enough to try it.
Too much money. Why switch out a 13B for a 2JZ when a 13B has more potential (in an FC or FD) for more types of races? It just doesn't add up. |
THNX guys that clears that up, I just thought it would be more reliable, but it looks like it wouldn't be worth it from what u guys posted. THNX again
