Worst day ever...

My local coffee shop raised the price of my Americano from $2.33 to $2.97. The icing on the cake? I eat lunch there quite a bit. You get a nice 6" inch sub and pasta salad for $4.99, until today that is... they raised it to $6.99.

My entire daily regimen has been ruined, I'm too cheap and too stubborn to pay this kind of price increase.

I seriously thought the gal was messing with me when she told,me the price. Open less then 6 months and they raised the prices big time. I would gladly accept a reasonable increase.

Well, honestly, it's not a crazy amount to pay for lunch. Are there any other places nearby that offer a better value? I don't mind paying a little more to support a Mom & Pop type business vs. the big chains. The increase was likely necessary to cover costs, not necessarily just to gouge the customer and make their yacht payment. :-)

thats how a lot of places work. They have low prices when they first open to attract customers, but after a few months the price gets driven to profit ranges.

Expected, but very disappointing. Sorry to hear that.

I can get a much better sandwich for the same money at a place just around the corner. They are an actual sandwich shop so they have a lot more options and a lot better bread. Price range is $5-7.

LOL

Ask them to match the old prices for you, they probably will! My local pizzeria raised their pies but kept the prices the same for the regulars.

first off dont listen to Anthony NYC about food advice, he sucks at food places

second- stop drinking so much damm coffee and you can afford a 12" sandwich instead of that pansy 6 incher

Ha ha. I don't want a 12", I want a 6" and a large Americano.

I'm surprised to hear you actually buy coffee somewhere. "Ooops, finished my to-go pot before I reached my destination 5 minutes from home, better get some more."

How else are you supposed to get any sleep?
