Dang the guy just moved up from dial up. I dont think he cares about that.....plus cable is not always better then DSL. Depends on the area. Where I live cable is better. My cousin on the other hand has DSl because it is better. Both can download at the same speeds.

Go to Download Speed to test your connection speed. Varies each time, of course, but gives you a good idea.

I'm at 107kbps for "The World", WTF I'm supposed to be getting an advertised speed of 1.5MB's per sec.

Oh yeah......I get that at 3:50 A.M. on sunday mornings. Haha...rarely do I see the advertised speed. Might have to do with your equipment. DSL was confusing for me. I dont know too much about computers which is why mine is always broken. When I opened the huge box they sent me and say all the crap I sent it straight bact to SBC. I got Earthlink cable and they came and set the whole thing up for me!!
