I'm planning a party for my wife, which she's not aware of (I hope). Since it's her 21st, I want some alcohol involved (she would like that, too). Jell-O shooters sound neat, but I don't know how to make them. Hell, I've never even made jello. I can search for recipes on the 'net, but I want some first-hand knowledge from you guys. What's good? And should we play "drinking games," or are those lame?



I don't really drink alcohol, so I have no experience.

you can get good containers for jell-o shots from taco cabana, the little ones that you put the hot sauce in. they are only like $5 for a sleave of 200, so it works out perfect.



as for the jello, just make it like normal, boiling it and all, only cool it by adding your favorite type of alcohol instead of water.



a tastey trashcan punch is always fun, there are lots of different ways to be creative with that.



you can also be your own bartender and make some good mixed drinks like rum&coke, whiskey&coke, cherry vodka sour, amaretto sour, etc.



buy a margarita machine and make some daquaries or margaritas.

The gift I'm giving my wife is from Brookstone, it's an oz. measurer, with drink recipes on the handle's little electronic screen. That should come in handy if I decide to play bartender. Thanks for the tips!

Drinking games are this ****...heres how to play *******:



Deal all cards. If theres more than 5 players, use 2 decks.

Highest card wins.

2's are clear. (Player lays down a 2, clears all cards, and lays a new card, next players turn.)

4's are social. Everybody drinks. Next players turn.

If someone lays down the same card as the previous player did, the next person is skipped and has to drink.

Doubles beat singles. (IE. someone lays a King, but the next player lays two 3's; 3's win.)

Tripples beat doubles.(Same way as above)

Quads beat tripples.(Same way as above)



After someone wins, they are president. Second that wins, Vice. So on so on until a loser is drawn. They are the *******. They have to do pretty much everything you say.

Whoever is president, Gets to make a rule.(IE Can't say drink, drank or drunk(if you do, you drink). OR you have to make everyone make a farm animal noise before drinkin'(if you don't,you drink). Just messed up rules to make people drink.



Everyone plays this different, so if theres anything i forgot, post up.

Just deal all the cards till theyre all gone. You'll have a handful of cards, but it'll go quick. So will the alcohol.
