C'mon, dude! You gotta track that sucker down and finish him off! Get after him in the Dodge. That's a big enough caliber.

TYSON 02-07-2006 07:30 PM

That sounds like very little damage for deer vs minivan. Pretty lucky!

rowtareh 02-08-2006 09:52 PM

this thread is useless without pictures!

i have hit a deer before also. coming up to stop light, fucker came out of nowhere, hit the right turn signal on the volvo, and that was all the damage it did. i was scared shitless, and i was so glad nothing else happened.

j9fd3s 02-09-2006 10:32 AM

maybe they hit phins dad?

banzaitoyota 02-09-2006 06:33 PM

Well to further add to my FRUSTRATION with Automobiles and NOT have it be MY FAULT:

I took the truck in to get 2 new rear tires 225/70R19.5, yep big truck tires. The shop gets them installed over lunch and I pay the bill $412.00 and go to leave. The Shifter has no Detents left in it, you can move the shifter from Drive to reverse and vice a versa by just flicking the lever.

I take it back and they stand around scratching their heads trying to figure it out. After an hour they decide I need to bring it back later so the can dissassemble the column and fix "the loose spring or clip" that dropped out due to "wear". BULLSHIT! It worked when I pulled in and was broken when I picked it up. So I had to come home, get the "DITCHMOBILE"

rotary510 02-10-2006 01:48 AM

Rob x-7 02-10-2006 05:51 AM

One question. Did they drive it at all? Pull it into the bay to do the change, pull it back out and put it into a space for you to pick it up? If they did, it obviously worked when you gave them the keys. They are responsible for any damage that occurs while they have it.

banzaitoyota 02-10-2006 07:58 AM

Yes, the pulled it in the bay and then around to the front of the shop when they were done.

The rooster comb is bustalaitted!

[attachment=36307:attachment]

j9fd3s 02-11-2006 10:45 AM

that sounds complexicated!

banzaitoyota 02-19-2006 04:35 PM

Well, the problem was a popped spring and ball for the rooster comb, the proble was compounded by a wobbly rooster comb on the shaft

A few spare parts from the last botched Chrysler dealer rebuild on the Second Gen Cummins (My dada) and mine is back together and running. I used ATF+3 (Chrysler 7176) even with the shift kit installed it still feels like oatmeal between shifts, of course having 300K+ on the stock tranny has NOTHING to do with it.

And on a positive note: My speedo works after 2 years of brokenness!

On a brighter note, its amazing what a working (not wobbly) Rooster comb will do for the feel of the shift linkage!

j9fd3s 02-19-2006 04:41 PM

yep its amazing, nothing short of a miracle

banzaitoyota 02-19-2006 05:52 PM
