Ok, so i'm out at the mall tonight getting a new cel phone. and this kid I know walks in. He drives a civic, the usual altezzas and washer fluid sprayers, stupid lights and stickers everywhere. The kind of guy who has 'big plans' for their car, i.e. huge single turbo, IC, blah blah blah (stuff they'll never be able to afford)

He's one of those guys who thinks he knows alot, but doesn't know ****.



I gave him a ride in the FD back in the summer, and i've regretted it ever since.



So he obviously knows who i am, tries to follow me around if i happen to be driving the 7... ok that should give you a pretty good idea, i'm sure most of you know atleast one person like this.



So he asks me if i've seen any nice turbo II's for sale cause he's looking for one. I say nope, haven't heard of any.



then he proceeds to tell me about his 'friend' that has a 3rd gen body and is going to 'drop in' a 2JZ (supra engine) and a T78. Thankfully he promptly left right after that.



i mean jheezus, some people read too many damn magazines and think 'yeah, this is the first car i've ever read about that did something like this, so i'm gonna do it too. i have no knowledge about cars other than what stickers look cool on it and how to position the big one that goes across the hood onto the quarter-panel'



I don't know if his friend realizes all of the **** that goes along with 'dropping in' a completely different engine.



i just wanted to be like 'so this kid wants to go fast? buy something that's already fast. why doesn't he just buy a supra? that's what he wants anyways right? something that you won't encounter problems with. SOMETHING THAT IS ALREADY FINISHED AND WORKING!'



Don't get me wrong though. I respect other people who know what they're doing with their cars. people who have a good goal with it.

I know exactly what you mean. I've met a lot of cool people, and some people that are a royal pain in the ass that just won't leave you alone.
