i know im most likely wrong about somthing in here some corect me, and teach me.
so basically nos is nytrogen sulfide or whatever that is storeing oxygen. and when its heated, it lets a lot of oxygen out? so why cant you like, directly inject compressed oxygen into the engine? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif |
NOS is a company that markets nitrous oxide.
http://www.nitrous.info/ I think pure liquid oxygen is way too hard to keep in a bottle. |

thanks guys. i knew it would be somthing like that. just so you know, i was talking about pure oxygen not just air.
|
pure oxygen is how one of the space shuttles blew up, pure oxygen is WAY to combustible and uncontrollable.

If i remember correctly the laughing gas and the auto nitrous are no2 and n2o
|
The nitrogen released with N20 is heated acts as a buffer to the combustion process. But even so, nitrous combustion is very unstable compared to FI combustion.
