I'm trying to find some good jazz, nothing that sounds like elevator music. Any names of songs or bands I can search for?

Anything by Gershwin.

You like older style jazz or electric?

older style: Dave Brubeck, Miles Davis, Coltrane, etc

electric: Pat Metheny Group (Imaginary Day will mess with your head), Bill Frisell, Marc Johnson

dave brubek is great. he is mostly known for the lp "take five" where in that title track songe, they defy contemporary timing, kinda like a rotary, with an off 4 to 5 and weird count theme....but it works....

just for griins, any of you guys want to really smooth your lady over, just pop in some gypsy kings. they are truly a musical aphrodisiac......a good start is the greatest hits......

es ls mejor....

try em, youll like em....
