Well I hate to even mention personal **** on the board, but I must preface this with the following statement: I've been trying to get over a relationship that would probably be chickenshit to most people on here but meant a lot to me. Turned out it didn't mean so much to her because she's still stuck in HS.

Anyways, that will give you the mood, so to speak, of these albums and why they've sounded so good to me this week:

Nine Inch Nails - With Teeth

Trent continues to re-invent himself (WRT to sound mostly)with each new album. Much like the content of the Fragile, he talks about love a lot, or what I perceive as love. The best track is the last, "Right Where it Belongs." But as you can see from my sig, there are other equally great songs on this album.

Mudvayne - Lost and Found

I'm not really a hardcore thrash metal, "******* die" blah blah blah, music fan, but I've also liked Mudvayne because they are kinda like, artistic, intelligent metal. "Happy?" is without a doubt my favorite song on there. Perfectly describes everything I've been feeling this week. "Choices" and "Fall Into Sleep" are also extremely good songs.

Chevelle - This Kind of Thinking (Could Do Us In)

Very intersting stuff from these guys. I'm sure everyone knows "The Red" from their last album. It got soooo overplayed. I really like the vocalist's ability to be calm and angry at the same time. "The Clincher" is the favorite for me right now, but their other single, "Vitamin-R" is also very good.

Breaking Benjamin - We Are Not Alone

I know, I know, another sort of nu-rock, or whatever you want to call it. It's sorta mainstream, but the vocals are really good and they actually try to incorporate SOLOS (wow, remember those things from the 80s and 90s?) into their songs. My favorites are "So Cold" and "Sooner or Later." Going with the theme of the previous 4 albums, these songs are good for a release.

Okay, just thought I would share what I was listening to and again I apologize for the personal ****, but I just want to get it out of my system https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png. I want to put a track from each album up on my site just so some potential fans can maybe ahem, purchase, good music.

So what are you all listening to? I especially want to hear from Srce...

It is funny seeing how people are just starting to listen to Breakin Benjamin. They have been playing their **** on the local "rock" station.

I saw some of their former bands and liked them better.

As for what I am listening to I have a mixed cd in my player right now.

Dropkick Murphys

Goldfinger

Flogging Molly

MxPx

Johnny Cash

How is the new NIN album. I want to get it. Trent Reznor is a musical genius. He has put out how many albums now? This is like the 18th one I believe.

Dys-If you like Chevelle alot, you should get the first album. point #1, you can find it at wal-mart I believe. I got my copy there a few years ago. It is really good. I don't dig the new album as much as the earlier two.

I can't stand Breaking Benjamin, my g/f plays that CD out. And plays the hell out of the new green day album. Blegh.

Finger Eleven is one of my favorite CD's. Been on constant rotation since I got it. The new Green Day cd gets a good amount of play, as well as a mixed Alkaline Trio cd I have, and Breaking Benjamin the same.

Mudvayne - Happy and Chevelle - the Clincher are 2 of my favorite songs right now, I need to go buy the cd's.

I didn't even know the new Mudvayne CD was out...I saw it at BB when I picked up the new NIN. I haven't been disappointed! If only I didn't blow the amp in my car, I could FEEL the double bass...https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

If you have a Dolby Digital 5.1 system get the DualDisc (one side is the CD, the other is a 5.1 mix of the CD on DVD). I listened to it all the way through yesterday in 5.1 and it's absolutely stunning.

The guy is a genius. I can't wait to see them in two weeks!
