the ones im talking about are the one in planes and the one in our cars. i never had the chance to ask but what do they have in common. i know the one in the airplane even has like 7 pistons

thats not a rotary

Some people called them rotary engines, but they are quite different from ours. They had so much rotating mass that the plane was actually hard to turn. It behaved like a gyroscope.

ohhhh ok thanx....well the reason i asked is because i've been searching for pictures of rotary engines and those came up. and also, this pilot came to my school and mentioned the rotary in airplanes and the radial engine came to mind but i didnt know what rotaries had to do with the airplane one that he was talking about.. cuz he said that the rotary was the one that was hard to turn to the left due to the torque but i guess he was talking about the radial engine.....i didnt know enough about airplane rotaries to correct him so i let him talk...
