Does anyone else feel that it's time for the next level?

Perhaps, time travel? transporters? a new source of energy?

When I use my cell phone for a half hour, it gets hot. If I use a lap top for an hour, I could singe my balls from the heat escaping the bottom of the machine. If my motor doesn't have a fan blowing with tons of fluid running through it, it'll overheat.

Anything new an exciting is either a smaller/compact version of what we've had already (like going from a room sized computer to a laptop) or a combination of things we've been able to do for a while (Internet + Cell phone).

*Shrug*, shouldn't we be using flux capacitors and having items use something more efficient so that they don't want to explode in a cancery, radiation filled mess after an hour of use....

Disclaimer: I'm very bored.

Battery technology. Things can be made smaller, and include more features, but the big problem is battery power; being able to provide enough power for long enough, in a small enough package. Such a product will revolutionize the already fast-moving technology market.

the next thing is that your cellphone will really do everything, it will cook, clean, make the bed, make coffee, your parents are gonna wish they had the phone instead of you

I think cell phones are becoming like triquarters (sp?).

Maybe something major will come about from the particle collider thingy in France. Maybe a miniature black whole will swallow up our space time, I hope not.

helium 3 ... supposed to answer the worlds energy problems. Right now programs have been put into place and the first mission is in 2007. The plan is to mine the moon of this solid helium and bring it back to earth. Now... honestly I dont know if that seems very economical since shuttle launches, especially moon landings are so costly. The price of He3 would need to be VERY expensive to offset the cost of mining it and bringing it back to earth.

But hey, the US government says theyre gonna do it. *shrug*

**** that, automobiles that run on just any type of ****....I also like the toaster idea. It is funny all this technology in the world, but I still burn the **** out of my toast every morning.
