I've got the little Nokia 3360 or3390? The little one with no antenna.

I love it, I've destroyed more phones than I can to discuss. . . But this ones

held up well! and I get great signal coverage in the middle of nowhere!

My carrier is Rogers AT&T.

In regards to the V.70, that phone is purely flash. Its only single band meaning outside of a city you probably couldnt use it.

The V.60 is a nice flashy phone, but everyone and their brothers parents grandparents and third distant cousins has it. You will get a phone that works almost everywhere though, unless you get the V.60 GSM version from T-Mobile. If I go in the sticks where its only analog service, I cant make a call even to 911.

true. but most of the country is under digital service. but yea, there are many stretches of highway where you get nothing at all. but the extent of digital service is increasing everyday.

my views are biased towards city folk. so take that into account =)

here in nyc, i'd have to drive at least an hour to drop to 2 bars of service. maybe another 30minutes from there to find a dead zone. but i'd never need to be in those areas.

real nice, but the price on that is heavily inflated.

Here in Dallas, I use Sprint and service is pretty flawless. My wife is a flight attendant for Southwest and we're able to talk clearly wherever she goes, so I'd have to say Sprint is a good choice.

My phone is the Sanyo SCP-6200 Dual-Band. It's pretty kick-ass. Really small and yet easy to operate. It's got a magnesium face so it's pretty robust. I got it off eBay for $100. My wife's is a TouchPoint 1100 flip-phone. I like that one a lot too. It's simple to use. Neither of these have failed us.
