So I have come to the decision that VTEC is the most entertaining thing ever. It makes for a good laugh everytime it kicks in. I was riding with my buddy lastnight and hes got a GSR which obviously has VTEC and he gets so serious, but i can help from breaking down and laughing everytime it kicks in. Is this normal??

Could you imagine how hilarious the VTEC on an NSX would be, im almost thinking i would almost sufficate laughing so hard, cuz we all know the 'lil 4 banger VTEC sounds like an angry retard. An NSX would have to sound like something never heard and never replicated a whole new world of VTEC

I've also looked at S2000 just before bought my MX5.

I personally didn't think it was worth extra 10K for an S2000 when MX5 did just fine with out the VTEC.

So s2k isnt much faster then an MX5?

Not faster enough for me to pay 10K more... Go test drive one. I drove a new 06 model with only 3 miles on it.

ok so lastnight my buddy with the GSR Integra was to hammered to drive home so i did(still dont have my license) and i got to VTEC for myself for the first time through a covered bridge and let me tell you.... Why is it funny, VVT is cool, I got constant VVT in my Ser its fun. My **** sounds like Vtec when the secondaries kick in.

I voted no, I think honda make great engines - just a shame they're usually stuck in fwd family boxes. Look at the ariel atom still going strong after all the years, and there's loads of kits out there taking advantage of honda power - I've even got one in mine, although it doesn't have vtec - but it doesn't stop it revving to 11k and it should shift the car to 60 in about 4 seconds https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif
