It's the old dunebuggy I built @ work 5 years ago. 1952 VW bug chassis, with a 1.8L aircooled engine. Fast as balls, built to last. He bought it off my old boss for $400 with a trailer, a trailer that can haul real cars too. Mt ex-boss is a jerkoff, glad Vosko got it.

dorifto??????

j9fd3s 06-02-2004 08:07 PM

duneifto?

turbovr6 06-02-2004 08:25 PM

yeah, actually it does drift really well. due to the fact that it only has rear brakes. 30+ MPH, hit the brakes, counter steer and dorifto is born!

Dumbrotorkid 06-02-2004 08:28 PM

Whats the top speed on that buggy?

well I can't tell you top speed, due to no speedometer. But I can tell you this. It definatly weights less than 800 pounds, it's got a 4 speed tranny, and the engine was out of an old vw bus, and I know those things could hit 80+mph.

When I first built it at work, and got it running, I took it for a spin on the street. I never made it to 4th gear, because I could tell I was doing atlest 40-50MPH, and with only rear brakes, it's kinda hard to stop.

Apex13B 06-02-2004 08:44 PM

fast isnt fast enough

turbovr6 06-02-2004 08:46 PM

Our biggest problem now is where to use the damn thing. Not exactly alot of "open fields" or "back woods" here in north jersey :(

MazdaMike 06-03-2004 10:38 AM

where do u leave the keys

TYSON 06-03-2004 10:50 AM

He'll break it.

phinsup 06-03-2004 10:52 AM

They are breakable, trust me I just sold one, sand, vw i-h engine = rebuild often.

I tried all the goodies to keep the sand out of that engine, sand seals, all the goodies, u just can't easily do it, there are too many gaps.

lxk199 06-04-2004 06:57 AM

Vosko, bring it up here to PA...you know we're all about the open land...hell you could take it up the mountain road i just went up last night...about 6" wider than a Jeep, with a 1,000 ft. dropoff on the side! awesome!

I see it now..

Video of Vosko in a mall parking lot with 50 bags of sand spread out and doing donuts and drifting.Around and around. same time, same place same driver.

New bug. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

banzaitoyota 06-07-2004 11:47 AM

Drifting in sand you spread is better than drifting on cafeterial trays
