Well it was nice to get out, with west winds we knew that fishing would not be it's best. At or around 10 miles out the waves definetely picked up, nice white caps and some pretty good walls moving in our direction, the usual reminder of your insignificance in this world is always provided by mother ocean free of charge, she decideds when you fish and how great your day will be.

That said we had a great time and made good time on our return trip, no fish to be found, heading out night fishing tonight, a 2 fer....

The GT is one of the most rugged, robust lures of its type in the world. The noise of the rattles and the tight fast action, make for an awesome trolling lure for pelagic species. Troll at 3 - 15 knots, although 7 - 9 knots is optimum for Tuna and Mackerel. Use this lure to troll your favourite spots or use it as a searching lure and cover vast tracts of ocean - quickly.

TIP: To obtain maximum speed the towing point may require tuning. If at high speed the lure track a little to the right (when looking at the lure), retrieve the lure and use pliers to bend the towing point to the left, not more than 0.25mm at a time. As with tuning all fixed towing point lures - the rule is bend the towing point in the direction you want it to swim.

Billfish love Giant Tremblers! Try them as teasers and see them work - or remove the trebles and shackle a 8/0 single onto the rear hook hanger. Use two shackles to ensure the hook points straight up or straight down, If the hook is pointing out to the side the action becomes unbalanced. This custom rigged GT becomes an excellent addition to your Billfish lure collection.

The only casting I do here is for snook, which i usually use red tail hawks (bucktails) for. Offshore we usually target dolphin, mackeral or tuna, which i usually run two lines with double rigged ballyhoo and two lines with an artificial made by a small joint in key west. Or a dolphin delight with live bait.

Cant cast these things....these you troll in the rip with set staggered.

Typical tuna,wahoo set.

hey scott, u gotta teach me how to fish. I will probably be in FL late in the year next year, not April like this year. I will come by your place again and stalk you then, cool? ha! no seriously...if marsha and the (upcoming) baby are well enough to travel that far, i'll hit you up.
