Well I just got back from the dealer. I wanted to test drive a MAZDASPEED Protege' since have been hearing alot about them. Anyways....I just went to go look. Turns out the salesman just sold his TurboII. I of course talked to him about it for a long time. When I told him about my car he wanted to buy it. Bad! So I told him I would maybe sell it to him if he paid what I paid and cut me a deal on a car.



So I of course inqured about the Rx-8 https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png The price isn't as bad as I thought it would be and we started the paperwork. I started asking questions and backed out at the last minute. Here is why.



The first model is going to be like the 93 Rx-7. it is gonna have some bugs that will need to be fixed. He wouldn't be specific but he said he has heard of a couple.



Hear is the biggest reason! The MAZDASPEED version will hit our shores in 9-10 months from now. Rumors are it will either be Supercharged, Single-Turbo, or Just beefed up.



So I have decided I am going to buy one of those when they come out. Of course it will cost me my 7 but I think it would be worth it in the end!

All 1st year runs will have bugs. I had a pair of 1st gen MR2's (85 & 86). The base 85 was originaly my X"s and the loaded 86 was mine but if I didn't trade I didn't get any ...so I traded "lol". Anyhow, the 85 was constantly in the shop and at $500 a pop but the 86 "never" had to go in for repairs the whole time I owned both of them.

but how are you going to get a discount from him 9-10 months down the road if you sell your car. whats to say he dose not quit or get fired then you are fucked.. unless you wait till they come in and then sell your car. lol could do that

He sold his T2 because he didn't know much about cars at the time. He was only getting 8 mpg and he didnt know why. Also he paid 3k for it and someone offered him 4k. So he went for it!





He wasn't going to cut me a deal on the MAZDASPEED Rx-8. He didn't even know the cost. He was going to do it on either a New Rx-8 or a Black MS Protege I was looking at.



I plan on going back today to take the MS home and se if I can get more info on the Rx-8.

Oh. Interresting facts.



I asked about the leather in the car. Red on black makes the cost 32k!



The dealer mark-up will be 5k when they get them.



You have to put 5k down to have no worries or a 1k to just reserve one for now. (I didn't understand that one)

RED, SILVER, and TITANIUM......Their have been no orders of YELLOW, WHITE, or BLACK. This is at my dearleship anyways. Also 13 of the 26 they are getting are SOLD!!
