My more realistic downpayment and shorter lease yielded almost 600

That's like selling you my used RX7 for 2000 bucks, but there is a wheel and tire surcharge youll have to pay thats 1000, cause it comes with wheels, so...

They have some great surcharges out their.



Here's something you probably all have paid for, "dealer prep". did you know dealer prep is already IN THE MSRP? The factory pays the dealer for the dealer prep, they add it onto your price and they make pure profit from you. They normally charge about $500 for it, if you read the contract stuff closely it actually tells you not to pay it.



The only places not fun are saturn and scion...they have solid pricing, no up or down, just a set price.

Haha. I love my work. I deal with this all day. I sell used cars, not new, so if somebody wants money off of a vehicle because it has a scratch, I tell them that is the price you see. These are used cars, AS IS. And they get all pissed off and buy the car anyways.



Oh, another thing, never EVER pay Freight for a new car. Why are you going to pay for something that is already there?? If you ordered it specifically that is ok.



But if you try to "negotiate" prices with somebody, if you have a trade in, all dealerships will **** you over on it.



Colin- Buy a different car. I wanted an 8 for a while, but realized that is not worth it.

The only paint that's free is black I think....



The rest are $105 but the white is $200.

I always just assumed paint came with the car. I mean its not like an option. "hold the paint"

Check out Mercedes. $900 for some colours.

Chrysler has some different paints that cost extra. The Linen Gold Pearl Coat is an extra 3-400 bucks, and the Inferno Red on the T&C, and Crossfire is an extra 220 bucks. Just more money into the paint that is all.



I never looked at the extra money for the paint on the White RX-8's.



COLIN- Why would you want a lease? They will **** you over when you turn it back in. If you have more miles than what is allowed, they charge you like an extra few cents every mile over. Imagine 5k miles over your lease limit, that is alot of money. Leases are shitty. Did you try to finance it Colin? You would probably get better results that way.

colin now that you have a g/f read the fine print on the condoms, you won't be happy.

If you want a brand new car just get the 3, with the GT package and the 17" wheels. Should be a good reliable car.





Or start wheeling and dealing, buy 2 year old vehicles off lease, drive them for a year and see if you can sell it for what you paid.

What were you doing???? for teh Rx8 GT package I got it down to 430 a month 0 down. A friend got 400 flat. I was shooting for 400 flat a month but Erin Mills Mazda was nickel and dime'n me so i left.



BTW Scarborough mazda will give rx7 club guys cost + 3% on any Mazda car. Go talk with 01racing on the other forum, he is the GM there. I was this close to getting a black Rx8 GT. But I managed to get 10k off MSRP on a brand new 2003 Subaru legacy GT with less than 100.00 kms on the odometer in november. I couldn't turn that down.

Or get the Mazda 6. Relatively inexpensive car, and it looks great.



Or get the new base model Mustang.

OR buy a car you can AFFORD. Take into account: Taxes, insurance, maintenance etc. Make sure you have about 6 months total expenses saved in the bank to allow a cushion before you consider finanancing ANYTHING!!!!!

Damn....you can get a nice sport package RX8 six-speed for $26K all day.....if you have to be gay and have leather and all the bullshit options, than it can get close to $30K....



I financed a little over $30K(I was upside down on my trade), and it came to $512 a month for 6 years. It was $580 for 5 years with a little better interest rate, but I couldn't quite swing that. There were some killer deals on left over 04's...but there are none left anymore....
