how are rotaries with torque, I am hearing alot that they can have good hp but not to good on torque, any truth to that?

if comparing to a piston engine, of comparable HP, that sounds about right. If you read that article about torque and HP, you might realize that the torque aspect doesn't matter as much as most people think.

well, although rotaries arent high on torque....... its also very light, so not as much torque is needed to move it as you would need to move a V8 that is the same power

J i was gonna say torque is for people who redline before 5200rpms... mike |
i was looking over the road and track lil special mag about the rx8 and it compares it with the infinity g35 coupe i believe.
i believe the g35 had 280 hp and 265 torque, compared to the 250 hp and 145(i think) torque of the rx8. the rx8 was .2 seconds faster 0 to 60 mph. not a whole lot. but when u look at the numbers it looks like a lot. again, my torque and hp numbers might be a lil off. |
