In 1913 the US federal reserve banking system was established.

What you might ask makes this significant? Well if you haven't figured it out by now I am sure you will very soon, but we'll take this 95 year old anniversary as an opportunity to discuss the federal reserve banking system. Our founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson specifically were VERY against a federal reserve banking system and you can see why. This is all fairly significant because it effectively privatized our monetary system, putting our entire money supply in the hands of private banking institutions. The Rothschild quote should be painful to hear now,

Infamous Quote from Mayer Amschel Rothschild

http://quotes.liberty-tree.ca/quotes.nsf/t_space.gif

"Give me control of a nation's money

and I care not who makes the laws."

When we entered into to the Bretton woods agreement in 1945 we managed to take this ponzi scheme global and again, if you don't know the ramifications of this today you will VERY soon.

I will not bore you with the details of the central banking system and the ruin it has brought to our nation and even our world, you may read one of the many articles regarding the federal reserve banking system via many of the online resources if you are so inclined. I will leave you with a quote from Thomas Jefferson:

If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and the corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs. The modern theory of the perpetuation of debt has drenched the earth with blood, and crushed its inhabitants under burdens ever accumulating.
