I've never heard 'meaty' used to describe vegetables, but hell, look at me-what do I know about vegetables?

I use the terms "fleshy" and "meaty" as near synonyms. Some tomatoes are just skin and seeds and juice with a very thin "meaty" part. These aren't like that. They have a delectable firm fleshy part that is nice and thick and juicy.
