Well we got a good early start, just as the sun came up, I went out a bit further then most boats did, prolly 12 to 15 miles when I dropped the lines in, trolled for a bit in 300 feet of water and had a double hook up, two fat and pissed off blackfin tuna. Amy and I fought them both, got mine in the boat she handed me her rod and the fucker bolted strait down and started rubbing on various boat parts., snapped the line.

Trolled around a bit more and landed 1 small dolphin, decided to head in where the rest of the boats were and that was a mistake. None of them were bringing anything to the boat and neither did we. Still proving my theory that dolphin like the artificials lures more then the rigged ballyhoo, I ran two rigged ballyhoo lines and two artificials, the tuna hit the ballyhoo and the dolphin the artificial.

Came back in about noon, awesome day on the water, did however have another stupid fuel bulb **** on me, i swear i am going to start replacing them every 3 months, florida sun is hard on them.

the dolphin decided not to go into the freezer and strait into our belly's. Blackfin tuna is very good, i fillet it instead of steaking it.

There's like 4 long line permits in all of south florida, one of them just caught the world record swordfish.

Oh and it was a very nice day 2 to 3 foot swells, 80 degrees.

you caught a dolphin??????? WTF? you can do that?

I wonder what it is like to go finishing in the ocean. I've only fished small lakes and rivers for trout, bass, tuna...

fishing in the ocean is a HUGE difference compared to a lake or river. or pond. i have only gone once, and it was a blast. went out for about 8 hours, caught about 100 fish. and they were red groper.

plus you are MILES away from civilization, and no bugs:)
