Were you awake when they pulled them. I was when I had one of mine pulled. He took what looked like an ice pick and punched it into the middle of my tooth breaking it. Then he took this big pair of plier looking things and grabbed it and pulled with all hi might. Freaked me out. Lots of blood for the rest of the day. Isn't it fun changing out the guaze??

Dramon_Killer 10-23-2003 05:07 PM

Wow, i'm probably gonna have to get mine pulled sometime...

...how encouraging...

4RotorRocket 10-23-2003 05:20 PM

Ive gottin mine pulled, all of them.Hey it could be worse though man my brother had to get his cut out

4RotorRocket 10-23-2003 05:21 PM

im sure they gave you some vikoden....pop some of them and you'll be fine......lol

AYB 10-23-2003 05:33 PM

be glad that your dentist took yours out

Mine wouldn't and ended up impacting quite a few teeth

I'd rather have put up with a few days of being sore than have some teeth actually cracked in 2 or 3 pieces or missing the back side of teeth

cymfc3s 10-23-2003 05:37 PM

luckily mine werent impacted badly. they gave me general anesthetia during the whole thing. I woke up and it was all done.

75 Repu 10-23-2003 05:44 PM

Maybe Mike can Massage the back of your mouth with his... Nevermind.. Just get drunk till the pain goes away.. or shoot one of your toes with a harpoon gun.. that will divert your brains attention..

But then you would have to start a new thread for that..

UniqueTII 10-23-2003 05:51 PM

I'm lucky...all of my wisdom teeth grew in fine.

probably not a good idea to drink beer... wouldn't it infect the holes? i had to get mine cut out :(. i didn't eat food for a week, so i drank boost and ate jello.

1Revvin7 10-23-2003 11:27 PM

I thought you usually get wisdom teeth pulled in the younger years of your life, I know you're not that young... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR Mine grew in just fine https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Mazderati 10-23-2003 11:43 PM

I had to get all four of mine cut out at the same time. All four were impacted. Put me to sleep with nitrous gas. I only remember bits and pieces of that whole day. Had the surgery at 8:00 AM, woke up for the first time at 5:00 PM that evening for about 30 minutes.

Got a dry socket later on. Whole situation was not the best.

mazdaspeed7 10-23-2003 11:51 PM

Mine went quite well. I was eating solid food the next day. But the say I got them taken out, it was just like mazderati said. I remember taking the nitrous, feel REALLY good for about 2 seconds, and im gone. Kinda wake up when its done, walked out to the car, kinda wake up again to get out of the car at my house, make my way to the couch with some help, and Im out until morning. My procedure was at noon, I But I remember a total of about 10 minutes of that day... Then I spent the next week loaded up on vikadin.

isamu 10-24-2003 03:56 AM

Ouch, I hope you feel better soon. When I was 14 I had my wisdom teeth taken out as well as 4 other teeth pulled all at once. It was to make room for braces. It was no fun. I remember blood oozed from my wounds all night, and I couldn't eat solid foods for a week. Man, that was NO fun!

Baldy 10-24-2003 08:17 AM

My wife had hers "extruded." They were supposed to give her an IV, and knock her out. After poking and prodding both hands and wrists with the fat IV needle, and leaving serious bruises and pain, they ended up just giving her a whole lot of shots in her mouth, and removing them with her awake. She was seriously distraught, and came home bauling her eyes out. That was not a pretty sight.

You should not drink alcohol it thins the blood and hinders clotting.

I have Vicodin too very nice stuff. The first night I took it I could actually feel the bones in my back cracking back into place as I finally rexaled completely for the first time in years. I felt like I was melting in to the mattress.

I can safely say being awake for it I witnessed something that was so disturbingly violent it freaked me out. I was numb so I did not feel it but could tell how hard he was pulling. From the moment he walked up to me till the moment he walked away with my tooth pulled was about 2 minutes no joking he just walked up and yanked it out.

getting my teeth pulled made me realize my love for pudding...

defprun 10-24-2003 01:21 PM

My friend stayed home from school a week extra than he had to when he got his teeth pulled! His mom was taking all this care of him, he smelled like ass, and all he did was play super nintendo all day! A month after the surgery, he was still eating puréed dinners! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/dry.png
