so, i found a bootleg copy on the campus resnet, and figured why not watch it, the first one wasn't bad.



well, after watching like 15-20 minutes, i couldn't bear the absolute unbeleiveability of the movie.



lets see:



1. the race begins and after 30 seconds of racing, the cars are only speeding along at 80 mph. my car does the 1/8 mile in 9 sec, and i'm at 80 mph at that point.



2. one second later, teh cars have already accelerated to 100 mph. (i understand cinemetography and all, but come on, where's the reality.)



3. they downshift and upshift constantly, while going in a straight line and using "nos" at the same time.



4. everyone is in the lead at one point.



5. 2 out of 3 cars that jump the bridge are still drivable after falling 30-40 feet and landing at a 30 degree angle. (come one, most sports car are light weight = little structural integrity.) anyway, where's the logic in jumping a bridge. even if you win, the money you make will all be spent on repairing your car.



6. they drive 10 second cars yet they can't outrun cops in a ford crown victoria.



7. they removed the skyline's awd so that they could do better burnouts and drift easier.



the only saving grace was that the rx-7 didn't jump the bridge. smart, he already lost, why lose more money wrecking your car.



TERRIBLE MOVIE. i turned it off and promptly deleted after the tazer harpoon gun disabled the skyline.

I noticed that too. I pointed it outt o my friends and they just told me to sit down and shutup about RX-7s.

if you cruise down the highway you must be goin at least 50mph, and he decided to go in reverse...... and i dont think reverse would have brought him to 50mph with its gearing

i don't get it... most of the cars in the first movie were respectable, but seriously.. who puts a purple eclipse in a movie as one of the featured vehicles.. especially a vert with a satellite dish the back of it (a.k.a. s-p-o-i-l-e-r) the size of the eiffel tower on the back and even expect it to hang with an evo..
