Do you or have you ever ordered spaghetti at a restaurant? I have found that most people have only ordered spaghetti at the spaghetti factory, and don't order at other places. To the best of my knowledge I have never ordered spaghetti at a restaurant, however I have never been to the spaghetti factory.

Dos equis.

ILUVMY88CABRIO 04-28-2002 01:38 AM

Maybe beacuse we all know how easy it is to make it, so we know it isn't worth paying for.

isamu 04-28-2002 02:13 AM

True. The other day I was at Gianni's and had some gnocci. Man that **** was good. I always thought spaghetti would be good with some shrimp in it.

ILUVMY88CABRIO 04-28-2002 02:31 AM

I love all that all of that ****. Have you ever eaten at Georgio's in S. Everett? That place is so damn good! I love their pizza.

isamu 04-28-2002 02:36 AM

No I don't think I have ever eatan there. I will keep them in mind, have to try them. I ate at buca de bepo once, that was pretty tasty. Kind of a weird atmosphere though. Two gin fizzes later and it was all good.

UniqueTII 04-28-2002 03:45 AM

I am not a big fan of spaghetti...probably due to the "Eddie Spaghetti" childhood tauntings. When I go to an Italian restaurant, I always get chicken parm...can't get enough of it.

phinsup 04-28-2002 12:16 PM

First off Spaghetti factory sucks, but that's beside the point. Honestly I don't think I have now that you mention it, kinda funny. It's just too easy to make or when I go out I want something I can't/don't make often at home... I dunno, actually this is an interesting topic to ponder! :lachuh:

Now you've just made a point that I've been trying to make to various people for a long time now.

Most italain food is a rip off. I refuse to pay $7 for noodels in some sort of a red sauce just cause they want to give it some fancy name. Want cheese stuffed inside the afore mentioned noodle? WHOO HOOO 12 bucks down the drain!

10 different dishes all named different just cause the noodle is thicker or thinner or they added a bit of sausage to it.

Rip off.

:bigok:

LMAO!! "Eddie Spaghetti"!! My friends and I were wasted the other night and he happened to come up! I totally forgot about him until the other night!

I agree with Spaghetti Factory sucks. End of story!

But, I will admit...I LOVE spaghetti...so YES, I have ordered it at a restaurant before! (Geez. Now I feel like a moron with your "it's so easy to make"...)

You know, the thing is: I can't cook. Nope. Not really even spaghetti. Oh I've tried. Somehow, I always end up with noodles in a sticky, slimy clump that I usually just have to throw out. And I grew up with my mom making sauce from scratch, so I have a real hard time eating the **** in a jar. Trying to make her sauce from scratch is just totally out of the question. One day, maybe...I just hate clean-up, too. I'd almost rather pay someone $7 for something I like and have them make it and clean it up, too...Plus, it'd probably taste better than mine...Even at the Spaghetti Factory. ???

Renesis 04-29-2002 07:18 PM

"My name is Eddie...I love spaghetti...I like to eat it, whenever I can..."

Oh...sorry.

Don't feel bad, I have a friend that fucked up mac & cheese. She burnt the noodles. :lachuh:

Never heard of it, what is it?

isamu 04-30-2002 11:31 PM

I have had Shepards pie before, but scrapple and halupkies are new to me? I think I only had shepards pie once, and it was in B.C., no waite I think that was sheepherders pie. It was good.

Renesis 05-01-2002 10:41 AM

Okay I have no idea what the hell any of that is. What is shepherd's pie, scrapple and halupkies?? Sounds like heartburn to me... ???

ThirdGenRX7 05-02-2002 09:27 AM

sounds like something that came out of someones or somethings ass

KinetikRX 05-02-2002 12:47 PM

WEll basically scrapple is ass if you think about it. Scrapple is as the name implies - scrap. Scrap parts of pig all mixed together kind of like sausage but with less "desireable" meat (organ meat also if I'm not mistaken). Its really salty and if nobody told you what it is before you ate it you might like it. I purposely tried it even after I knew what it was. I'l try anything once. After my first scrapple experience i was satisfied that I had proven myself worthy and have since never gone near it again.

Now that being said... If scrapple is what it sounds like, what the hell is halupki?

crx7cm 05-02-2002 05:13 PM

Come to think of it, if I just ate scrapple for the first time now and new what it was (lips, ears, ass, etc.), I probably wouldn't eat it but I was raised on it and love it. It comes in a block like butter kind of, you slice a piece off and fry both sides till it's crispy outside. Sounds nasty but I still love it.

As for shepard's pie, its just a layered think you bake. A layer of mashed potatoes, then a layer of ground beef with onion soup mix, layer of cheddar and mozzarella, another layer of mashed, topped with more ched/mozz and baked for 20 minutes. This tastes great too but it's another heart attack on a plate. I swear my friggin heart starts balling when I eat that ****....

Halupkies are kind of like stuffed peppers but you stuff pig stomach, beef, and vegetable and rap it in like a cabbage leaf. Again, nasty but good. One thing I wont touch is liver. My dad eats that **** right up.... :repuke:

I also hate https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/spam.gif

isamu 05-02-2002 07:28 PM

scrapple sort of sounds like head cheese. Never had it, but I would try it. Halupki's sound pretty tasty too. One thing I don't like is limburger cheese, that is some sick ****. I tried to eat that stuff one time, I put it on all sorts of stuff and it still tasted like ****. I finally gave it to my dog, he liked it.

The Blue Bomber 05-03-2002 12:31 AM

Hagis! a Gaelic staple. take everything you find on the floor and stuff it into some intestines cook and enjoy.

Souse! a southern tradition. take all the leftover pig parts and make them into a sausage type thing that is square shaped. and eat as you please.

when i hear of people eatign things like scrapple, halpukies, hagis, and souse it makes me wonder why we all don't eat more https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/spam.gif

Don't we call them hot dogs?
