so this guy comes in and asks about some stuff for his 89 convertable. window switch, tps, and the left window regulator. he freaks out at the $1098.52 tax price, hops into his BRAND NEW JAG and leaves.

WTF? I'd freak out at over $1k for a switch, TPS, and window regulator too.
You don't stay a millionaire if you spend all your money. Probably splurged on the jag and doesn't want to dump all that into a 16 year old mazda. |
Whats odd? The new Jag?
|
yeah, if he cant afford a 16year old mazda, the jag is gonna be fun https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
|
There is a difference between being able to afford, and wanting to put money into it.
|
a jag shop's hourly labor rate is over $180/hour...at least here.
you dont want to know the price of a jag oil change....especially if he has one of the big motors. regular maintenance on the jag costs more then youd care to know...nevermind the fact that something stupid regularly breaks and then costs a mint to replace so the warm beverage holder lights up or whatever. and there lug nuts are big for no reason....like land rover ******* thing has like 1-1/8" lug nuts....and then the studs are regular size...umm ok good idea. kevin. |
Yeah, the price of dealer parts can really put a damper on keeping an older car on the road. That does seem like a lot for those parts. Damn power windows. Who needs 'em?
BTW, doesn't Jaguar include maintenance for the warranty period? I know some luxury brands do, such as Audi. |
he's probably financed his life to death

Lost churches in New Orleans
One of the local television stations in South Louisiana actually aired an interview with a woman of color from New Orleans. The interviewer was a woman from a Boston affiliate, so she asked the interviewee how such total and complete devastation of the churches in the area had affected their lives. The woman replied," I don't know about all those other peoples but we gets our chicken from Popeye's". |
