so, what IS a mini truck? would you consider it to just be a small truck, or a truck that is riced otu and lowered?

I think 94Touring has what I would call a mini-truck

small of mid size truck, lowrider style. or riced out.



full size trucks are not mini trucks, but some people call them that.



I was VERY into trucks before I got the rx7 and pulled my head out of my ass.

mini trucks for me are CLEAN boddied and lowered, either airbagged or has hydraulics and most likely has a pretty kick-ass sound system in it, and tasteful chrome or polished wheels.



If it's gaudy I call them "pieces of ****"

Where've I been? I call REPUs and other small pickups from the '70 and beyond mini trucks. It doesn't matter what they look like.

Mini trucks are to me the small pickups, like Toyota Tacomas, REPU's, B2000 and under series. Slammed trucks with crazy custom exterior panels and chromed out rims is a lowrider to me. And some decent polished up rims.



I had a huge obsession with customizing my dad's blazer into a slammed truck, throw in a sound sytem capable of breaking your skull. Throwing lambo doors or suicide doors on it, throw a 350 block in it, and put 100 spoke rims on it, and have a crazy ass paint job. But I got into speed and going around turns fast, not having a car that is hard to drive during the rain if need be.

no, i was defending the repu against a guy who swore to me that it was a mini truck. to me its a truck, not no damned mini truck.

LOL. REPU will never be a mini truck. It is a pick up truck. Something easy to get around in, if you have it running though. It can haul enough stuff you need to haul. REPU's are so bad ass. I can't wait to see Dave's truck start getting dismantled. I wanna get one real bad and just put a 13b 6-port with just header and exhaust and air intake. Screw going turbo on that thing. The repu was I think the 2nd lightest vehicle mazda made. Evar!

FB's are 2300lbs stock, RX3's are 2100 and im sure rx2s are even lighter than that! What about 323s?

Are all FB's 2300 lbs stock though, or would that be the weight of the base models? I saw it on a website somewheres. I forget the address.

I have yet to weigh the REPU on an accurate scale. So far I've only weighed it at the dump for a before and after comparison charge. It's been 3,040-3,080 after dumping the payload. That's a bit more than 2700.

I was also into the lowrider turcks before i got my 7....no regrets about selling that thing, be it was fun while i had it.

Minitrucks are cool. Slammed S10's with 22"s, bad ass paint job, beat that can deafen you, shaved and filled just about everything, nice interior, and other stuff.

I weighed my 12a GS in at 2183lbs

I love minitrucks.. yes the Repu is a minitruck cuz it is a small truck..



out here in Nicaragua there are S10s but they have the hombre front end and are not rebadged as Isuzu.. lots of different models..



the fact that the trucks then get bagged or riced out.. or have hydros installed does not make them minitrucks.. Just that since the Magazine "Minitruckin" features that style of trucks.. and some fullsize trucks too people refer to Minitruckin as a style too..
