i hate it. snow was white, now is brown black and white. my car is filthy. washing my car is pointless because there is so much ******* salt and sand on the road.

i want a truck for the snow. with 4x4. yes. 4x4. and big ass tires. one when it won't matter if it gets dirty. i will paint it rust.

LIFT THE ACCORD!

Hell, I lowered my 4x4. It does fine, but then again I park in a garage and we don't use salt in CO. We use Magnesium Chloride.

It's great on chicken. Little magnesium chloride, little curry powder... Mmmm, mmmm! That's good eatin'!

Wouldn't it be sick if they replaced plows with ultra-road-heaters? Like, a huge truck carrys a huge heater (practically shooting flames at the ground) and if it moves at the right speed, it melts everything in its path and dries up all the water in an instant!

Yeah, it's not a bad idea, but.... The trucks would pretty much have to be fuel oil tankers to sustain the burners. All that fuel could get expensive. Also, the thermal stresses on the road surface would probably cause them to fall apart 10 times faster than they already do.

I think we're stuck with plows and salt trucks. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

You'd think they'd use solar panels to charge large capacitors used to heat coils that run back and forth across the roadway, keeping the road at a constant 65 deg in the winter. Less thermal stress on the pavement, no icy roads, problem solved.

How about when they build new roads, they bury a network of water pipes in the road connected to a deep subterranean reservoir (constant 50 +/- degrees), then use pumps to circulate a mixture of antifreeze and water through the system. The heat would be free.

That sounds a lot like communism to me, boy.

What about all those wind turbines in California, Comrade?
