The people that cause the problems are the ones going 5 ******* MPH down the road. I know there is snow, but jesus it was like 1 inch!

All of our snow finally melted. It was like, 20F last night then today it got up to 55F. The roads finally look good over here. I cant stand the snow, or the cold weather. The only thing snow is good for is snowball fights, snowboarding, Sno- cones (not yellow ones), and doing donuts. Got a ticket a few weeks ago for doing reverse donuts in a wal-mart parking lot. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif

I was driving to meet a client around 4pm today...got caught up in some traffic as soon as the snow fell...

I counted 5 individual incidents where there was a crashed vehicle on the side of the road in a matter of 6 miles. And guess what...EACH ONE was an SUV with a woman driving https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Two years ago, I let my girl borrow my truck to drive back to school. On her way back down, the roads were snowy and icy. She managed to spin it off the road into the traffic ditch a few times. Once, she got stuck in the ditch and called me so I could talk her out of it. As I replied in the Snow? poll, I can't even get my truck to slide. How she managed to spin it a few times is beyond me.

slip-n-slide?

Sinful7 01-20-2005 11:34 AM

I remeber doing that when I was young.. I always managed to hit something on the little stakes that held it down. And it killed the lawn really fast.

Actually, thats not true. They may simply be driving at a speed appropriate for their vehicle, their ability, and the driving conditions. You may have a FWD with good tires and they may have a 70's model American shitbox with bald tires.

You don't see many people driving 5 mph slide, spin, or hit someone else.

The problem, more often than not, is someone who has an all-wheel drive vehicle that thinks that it makes them immune to the laws of physics, and consequently don't adjust their speed to suit conditions.
