i've know of 2 differenct theories on how to get a good launch. the main one which i have practiced for years (like 3) and has been very good to me goes something like this: you reach launch RPM and then sidestep the clutch and control wheelspin with the gas NOT the clutch. this is the one i have been hearing recently: slide the clutch so you can hold the boost. now sliding the clutch sounds like you can hold the boost but who the hell cares if the power isn't getting to the pavement. keep in mind this is my first turbo car. so i'm not sure if i'm wrong, but on my first day at the track i got a 2.11 60' time using my method on a 100% stock FD.

i usually launched at 5grand

the faster dragsters all have slipper clutches

ok well we know that tires have max grip somewhere between tirespin and full adhesion. and we know where the engine makes max power, unless the engine and the tires meet, how about a slipper clutch?

:sigh of despair: ............the only thing that i was asking was that if anyone knew about the differences in these styles and how they worked for them in their car, i'm not asking for lessons or different clutches i can buy, even though i thank you for the input, but i was just wondering if anyone had any other thought on these different styles in R-E-G-U-L-A-R S-T-R-E-E-T C-A-R-S.
