everyone is welcome...but once they start to challenge or make threats or say im better thats not right

First of all that Skyline is a really nice looking car, the owner was a nice guy, I spoke with him for a while, Which is why I allowed him to come park with the FD's. He was'nt there to show off, or try and prove anything, he wanted to hang out like the rest of us. As far as I know you see lot's of Skylines on the West coast, here in jersey, I've only seen 2, the one from yesterday, and the R34 that was tring to race me on Rt80 Saturday, but thats another story!

***Uh oh! Time for another long winded Jerk Racer post.***

At our 7 gatherings I encourage others to come out. If you try to keep it exclusionary, people start thinking you're a bunch of punks. I like to spread the love amongst the entire car enthusiast community. Sounds cheesy but it makes for good relations in the car scene. It's bad enough it's us against decent society. Why make it us against us against decent society? I don't like asswipes coming out to gatherings. If you're cool and you have a genuine thing for cars then it's all good. Who cares what you drive? The list is always changing for me so I don't care to be stuck in one group. This forum is one of about half a dozen I regularily visit. Most of the others are not RX7 related.

I guess this mentality comes from getting hooked on cars while living in Japan. I never was ingrained with that us versus them mentality that's in the car scene here. Ford v. Chevy v. Mopar type of useless rivalries. **** brand loyalty. When was the last time a corporate giant was "YOU" loyal? Never. Over there it was always run what you brung. Action talked and bullshit walked so everybody was usually pretty cool no matter what you came in. Mind you, there weren't any Hondas unless it was owned by an American over there (Dragon ::cough cough:: https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR ). The car scene is 180 degrees different over there than it is here. There are some car specific get togethers over there, but those are generally the exception. There is such a huge car scene over there that all those car specific gatherings over there are a drop in the bucket of what usually goes on every night over there.

I might not dig that dudes taste in sticker tuning his overpriced car, but if he was cool then he'd be welcome with me anything. If anybody crosses the line and decides to talk smack then the gloves are off. Haters need not attend.

I go to car gatherings all the time where there are all kinds of cars they are called Autocrosses. I also go to import meets from time to time I am a very open minded person I love all cars. I have a Mustang GT in the garage next to my RX-7. I am considering selling it and buying a CooperS to run around in until the Mazdaspeed RX-8 comes out. I am definatly not a hater of other cars.

I would never consider crashing a Mustang meet at the local Hooters with my RX-7 I know it would not be appreciated by some not all but some. I also would never crash one of the many Corvette shows my dad attends with his C-5. Including the giant Ecklers show in Florida every year. When we threw our RX-7 BBQ I would have loved to invite a couple of my friends to come out in their trick cars. One is a MR2 Turbo the other a GST both have close to 400 wheel HP. I just thought it would be inappropiate to have them there.

It just seems wrong to show up at a particular car meet and plop your car in the middle of it. I could understand if that Skyline was over to the side but it appears that an RX-7 could have been at that spot rather than over in the overflow lot.

I understand you invited him in and I am sure he was really cool. No harm done just an observation on my part. I'll butt out. Sorry.

maybe those stickers are backwords so they can read them

the right way in the rear view mirror, at least on one side

of the car?

The skyline came late, the overflow lot was full. Jay invited

him over after the guy was going to park the car in the dirt lot

next door.
