I've seen the atkins single rotor engine. Is there anyone else out there who makes a single rotor engine. How about a tranny, something that would fit in a mini engine bay and still maintain fwd. Been some rotary nuts on the mini forum wanting to go rotary, and i've been entertaining the idea of a turbo charged single rotor. Any creative ideas out there?

single rotor engines are very unstable, thats why mazda discontinued them prior to the 10A engine.

Do you have any kind of documentation or some links?

measure it up, i think the width (if the motor is sideways to keep the fwd) is your limit.

Here is a 12A Torbo 1 rotor that Pettit racing made. You might want to contact them. From what I understand this car is really fast too.

A guy in georgia makes 1 2 and 3 rotor motors of his own design. I'll see if i can get info tomorrow on if he wants to sell them. Last time I heard from him, the single rotor turbo was making 200hp and 100ft/lbs. I'll send you a PM, my boss will be driving his 3 rotor Spice GTP car in june, so i'll se firsthand how his products are https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
Convert the car to rear drive and put a stock 13b 4 port in it https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif |
Excellent info!! Keep it coming!
