The shipping company that was supposed to pick up my FD for the new owner was charging him $800 to pick it up at my place in NY and drive ~1200 miles to Florida.

Your best bet is to call up a car shipping company and find out.

they charge more for cars that dont run, and they charge more if they go door to door versus a terminal pick up.

I would say to expect to pay at least $1000 and dont be surprised if its as high as $1500. Remember rates have gone up with fuel costs.

These problems are easily solved with a little creative thinking. Simply poke some air holes in a box and stuff a midget of legal driving age with the proper credentials (i.e. drivers' license) and ship him to the car location via UPS ground. Midget gets there for like 30 bucks, and for the cost of gas drives your car back home to you. Then you tip the midget, and you're done!

What? The car doesn't run? Oh, never mind. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif
