ok i dont know about the rest of you but i call that thing the TOASTER, if u look at it i really looks like a toaster, and i drove one of them things, the handling is so wierd, feels like a high performance jeep wrangler, it just doesnt belong, any one driven one, and lets see what everyone else thinks about them
|
you've already wasted more time/space thinking about a TOYOTA than its worth.
|
belongs in the "Other Cars" forum...
|
tru, but still
its a waste of time and money to even design them |

**** that, I love those trucks, I was very close to buying one, but decided a car payment was not a good idea since my 7 and truck are both paid in full. anyway, they are cool as hell, everyone hates them, I think they are pimp
|
Tacoma or Tundra, those are trucks, xB? That's a box. Edit: But there's bound to be someone who likes something that not many others do, I get a lot of hate around here in the South since I don't have pistons in my cars.

|
She'd be just as happy with a FB or FC, baby's fit in the hatch area perfectly.
Seriously though, don't do that to your kid. |
haha yeah **** then you tell her that ...she wants XB and she has mad crazy hormones to back her up !
haha. I was just messin with you... I have the mercedes beat. my 66 ford truck was still running perfect last year when I pulled the original motor. 240 ci straight 6 with 450k miles.... still had solid compression on every cylinder too. I think the motor is in a mustang now with nothing but a head rebuild. and it didn't even need that..... |
eh... a 61 or 62, MAYBE. they were unibody and lighter.. mine would be way to heavy... a 4 rotor maybe, but not a 13b.. I'm putting a 460 in mine... |

I'm angry at Scion in general for taking an awesome name and really cool logo, then slapping it on a bunch of crap-ass cars. Something with that name and logo should look remarkably like an FD, not an oddly shaped cube, or micro machine. It should also go fast and get shitty gas mileage, dammit. I'm mad, I want this division of Toyota scrapped and sold to someone cool. Lotus or something. Those cars look wierd but still evil, and something like this would fit perfectly on an Elise or Exige.
|
the thing is like $15000
it doesnt require debate, its transportation the coupe on the other hand is actually nice |
Weren't these things designed with "ricers" and "modifiers" in mind since you have a much more flexible warranty and they offer a lot of parts for them?
|
I like the TC, those things look nice up close.
and you can you hate the box if you have the option of ILLUMINATED CUP HOLDERS. YEAH, CAN'T PASS THOSE UP. |
I like the XB....not because it is sporty or cool.....well it's kinda cool. I just like it, because it is very inexpensive, it's a Toyota, it comes with a bunch of standard features, has great interior space, the engine is a little weak, but it gets awesome gas mileage, will last forever, and as long as it's hooked up to a 5 speed it scoots around ok. If it had to be my only car, I couldn't own one.....I have to have a rotary or at least a RWD Toyota.......

Pyrrian: Perhaps you miss the marketing genious behind Scion.
Toyota offers cars and trucks accross the board now, in different, successfull companies, that don't compete with one another. Lexus is high scale sedans and Suv's, Toyota is your typical average-income affordable everyday cars (Sporty or not), and Scion offers economical cars with a 'tude to attract the HS/College aged folk who want something new but reliable, affordable, and "cool". I think it's great. The Xa and Xb aren't to my liking, but they are a great package. The Tc is cool, but the rear is too thick, it's more of an "Accord" than a sportier coupe. What I'd love to see in the near future, is their most sporty type of econmical hatchback, something along the lines of an Integra in both looks, stance, feel, etc. I'd actually consider it if it looked good enough. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png |
I wasn't entirely serious with the post. You see, the very first time I saw Scion, I just saw the logo. I was like, "Whoah, that's a pretty neat name and logo." Then I saw the cars, and I was a bit disappointed because I really don't think the name fits them. There's nothing wrong with the cars or anything, it's just that when I imagined it, I thought it would be cool on something like an Elise. I'm not really mad at the company, I'm just sort of disappointed that it didn't live up to being like my original ideas of it.
|
The first time I saw the Scion logo, it was in a retarded comercial with a soundtrack that sounded like a poorly encoded MP3. Then I noticed the cars looked like crap. The word Scion was mentioned on this forum or the evil one before I had ever seen the comercials, but upon seeing them, I lost all interest. Since then I've started to notice the mentallity of the audience those comercials were targeted for and the word 'rice' comes to mind. I hate Scions. Even the name looks stupid now.
Yea, I figured as much. I still thought it'd be important to mention Toyota's focus with the Scion line. Like you'd agree, perhaps, I'd love to see Scion's version of a Type R integra or something... Jeff20b: Yea, at the same time, the cars that are out are meant to be some sorta "extention of yourself", for those "I need material things to form my identity" type of preteen/early 20's folks that believe that. Silly, sad, stupid in the least. Still cool, in the end, to be able to customize a car at such a cheap price. |
Ah, now it's starting to make sense. Hmm, what type of dollar amounts are we talking about? I'm just trying to get an idea of what it costs to customise a new car vs like an RX-7 or something. Something tells me they've attempted to change the defenition of how much 'affordable' mods cost.

Toyota: less exciting than Honda, and only slightly more exciting than pulling lint out of your belly-button.
|
they have a factory supercharger option as well
