So theres a modified corvette in an import competition?
Well it's not really an import competition, a Viper won a few years ago...
BUT I think we should write a well-crafted retort to their claims that this car has "*****."
**** that. Let it burn.

I am as disappointed as any that they are in more support of the LS1 FD and do not have a rotary powered vehicle competing. But in the USCC, they have had very bad luck with rotaries (the first two detonated and the one last year finished last). I hope the next rotary entered can redeem rotaries in this competion.

What's wrong? Did he make it to 100,000 miles on the stock ls1?

It's not a stock LS1. And it's also NOT an RX-7, so they shouldn't call it that.

I heard about it and am anticipating next months issues with the results (that isn't out yet is it?!?!)
Between the LS1-FD, a SC S2k, and a FI NSX (SC or TC? Not sure)...it looks to be pretty exciting. If I'm not mistaken, those three cars are in it, and they are some of the most awesome "Hybrids"/"Swaps"/whatever you want to call it. Besides an LS1-911/LS1-Miata/MK1.5 Mr2, etc.
I hope the LS1 kills the competition, can't beat that power/weight ratio + torque!

I think LS1 FDs are great. Yes the rotay motor will always be king in these cars but honestly a 400 hp vette motor that will drop right in with minor mods... awesome. If you drove one you couldnt tell the person their car sucks just because its not a rotary... thats just IMO tho
