they were great! we saw journey too, and they were alright, kinda heavy, like metallica heavy.

def leppard was unxpected, i think i could have listened to em for hours....

They're coming here too, I'm a fan of both bands. Think I'd like it? (In other words, are they sticking to original material and not peddling some bullshit new single or something?)

j9fd3s 08-27-2006 07:24 PM

they both have albums out, def leppard played a bunch of hits, and then intruduced a couple tunes from the new one, and then played a bunch more songs you'd recognize, which is good. they really sound like you expect, they could play row row row your boat, and it would work for them.

journey, although they were really tight as a band played a bunch of songs, that are either really old or really new, so you had to be a pretty hardcore journey fan. they closed with all the songs you'd recognize though, which imo was a little backwards. they were also really heavy, like metallica heavy. you do have to give em a a break cause they have some substitute singer, who's good, but the drummer sang all the steve perry songs, which was a little odd.

so journey tried, but they were ok

def leppard just came out and rocked

Close enough.

Hey, Peewee's Playhouse is on Adult Swim. I think I like the first season (from '86) the best.

Jeff20B 08-28-2006 11:24 AM

A lot of kids have long hair these days. I blame McDonalds comercials.

GreyGT-C 08-28-2006 01:28 PM

Yeah. Journey's debut album dates all the way back to 1975, if I'm not mistaken, and some of their original lineup was born in (gasp!) the 1940's!
