I guess they ran out of stories, advertising revenues and no new car to right about. I got my last issue with a note saying that I can have my money back for the remaining 4 issues I am owed and they are sending me a cheque, imagine that.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.gif ....

But in the last issue they show a rendering of the expected 2010 rx7.

Apparently the rx8 isn't worth its own fulltime magazine, it had a few dedicated issues, but it never had '7 type following.

This last issue(no 42.) was really thin, not many advertisers as compared to the 2007/2006 issues..

Guess I am down to hyperrev rx7 and rotary magazine now.

They are pretty expensive mags to print, they are more like book quality than mags.. Ah well, they will be collectors items now..

That was back when the Kabura was introduced and that's all they had to go on for Nagare themed products. That said, I honestly think that could have a very similar profile to the RX-9. Big, creased wheel arches is very Mazda right now, and if you're gonna make a car look meaner and faster than an RX-8 you're going to have to put that crease on top of some very big arches like in the pictures. Of course longer wheelbase with wheels right at the corners is again very Mazda. None of that big overhang BS. Obviously it's lower and has bigger wheels than it knows what to do with, but so does every concept. In reality we'll probably see something with a shorter wheelbase, taller greenhouse but same general shape.

yea whoever drew that concept seems to "get" mazda's current styling, the roof design is off tho, I think if mazda does the "new 7" it will be a full decklid hatchback, FD style. Right now mazda has no sporty hatches last one was the old style mazda 6 (altho i think the rest of the world has the '09 style 6 with a hatchback option).

i'd buy that concept if it came out.

no one believes me when i say the 3rd gen's design was basically copied for the vette... it's hilarious when i get into that argument with a vette guy, then he asks what year my car is https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif
